Santa's Hotel Rudolf

A solid price–performance option in Rovaniemi. I stayed one night — booked through Booking.com — and the price varies depending on the date, but generally fair for the location. The rooms are small but clean and functional; some furniture feels a bit old, yet perfectly fine if you just need a comfortable place to sleep between Northern Lights tours. There’s no on-site reception, which is important to note — check-in is done at Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus, about a 12-minute walk away. While that’s a bit inconvenient, overall it’s a decent, budget-friendly choice for travelers who value simplicity and location over luxury.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK HERE IF U HAVE OTHER CHOICES The hotel is overpriced compared with what it offers Check in is in another hotel which is like 700-800m from its, so u hop to the hotel, do not know what to do, then it may take u a while to figure out you have to walk down the road just for check in in the freezing cold of Rovaniemi. There is no staff here What’s more, the room is tiny, very tiny, and it is just like a hostel. Nothing is provided except towels. Everything is old and ofc the bathroom smells. It’s a lie to say it’s a 3* hotel with this standard

We arrived in 30 degrees heat to a room without air-conditioning or even a fan, the room faced the afternoon sun as well.|You have to travel to it's sister hotel to check in and then we had to drive back there to collect a fan, this was a large oscillating fan but it was not very powerful. |Most of the plug sockets did not work, so was awkward to charge phones, run a fridge and run the fan.
